The Responder Knowledge Base (RKB) is a Web-based clearinghouse of information on products and services sponsored by FEMA's National Preparedness Directorate. This database is intended to give first responder agencies a place to find specialized equipment and resources. Its mission is to provide emergency responders, purchasers, and planners with a trusted, integrated, online source of information on products, standards, certifications, grants, and other equipment-related information.

Follow the instructions to “create an account”. In step 2 of 5, you will be required to provide a validating person (other than yourself or a family member) who can verify your employment/position.
Several members of CITIG and CPRC are accredited to validate any new users that want access to the Responder Knowledge Base. If you’re already familiar with CITIG or CPRC personnel, simply indicate that validating person’s name, phone number and e-mail in the space provided in step 2.
